Lancashire Break Time Registrations have Reopened
Lancashire County Council have now opened the registration window for Break Time activities for 2025/2026. The criteria to attend Break Time is as follows:
-
Children will be able to access Break time from the start of the academic year they turn 5 until the end of the academic year they turn 18
-
A child or young person has special educational needs and/or disabilities meaning they are unable to access universal services and activities, and the parent and carers are in receipt of child benefit for that child or young person
-
Children/young people will live in Lancashire
Children are not eligible to attend Break Time if:
-
They are looked after children and live with their parents, in a foster family or in a children’s home (however children living with special guardians or someone who is in receipt of child carers allowance for the child, is eligible)
-
They have a social care assessment and receive Day Time or Night Time short breaks, following this through a social care plan of support
-
They attend a residential school or receive short breaks as part of school support.
All new and existing members must register to continue accessing our activities from April 2025 onwards. You now need to register (if you haven’t done so already) by completing the registration form by 12th January 2025. The form can be found on Lancashire County Council’s website www.lancashire.gov.uk/children-education-families/special-educational-needs-and-disabilities/things-to-do/break-time/
Please note that all children will be given a new break time registration number to prove eligibility from April 2025 onwards. I have also been informed that applications will be processed in date order so I urge you to apply as soon as possible to ensure your child is awarded the 78 hours.

We are Open for
New Referrals
We are currently expanding our services at Play Inclusion Project and are now open to new referrals for children aged 4-18 in the Preston, Fylde & Wyre areas who are eligible for and have received Lancashire Break Time Hours (78 Hours)

Unfortunately, due to a combination of a high influx of referrals prior to summer, extended staff sick leave, and restricted access to emails we are asking that if you have already submitted a referral, please reach out to us again if you have not heard back from us

In the Preston Area, we are organising a Parent Afternoon event where you can drop by to discover more about the Play Inclusion Project. Our team will assist you in completing the necessary paperwork. Kindly note that appointments are essential, and your child must be eligible for and have received the Lancashire Break Time 78 Hours
Feel free to reach out to us through our Facebook Page or give us a call at 01253 899833 starting from 9am tomorrow
